Work clothing thrift store.

A working clothes thrift store would be run in the same

manner as a hospital auxiliary thrift store etc. As you retire, or move on

to a new job and do not require your work clothes any more, why not

donate them? That way, when a client gets a job, they can get what they need for the

job, such as work boots, hard hats, uniforms etc.

For one thing, the person on Assistance can get some decent clothes to

go around and apply in. They feel better about themselves, and it shows.

It would also even out the playing field.

Employers, let's be honest.  When someone on the system comes in,

drops off their resume or fills out an application, and their clothes are shabby,

how likely are you to hire them?  But, if they look

neat and tidy, and show some confidence, instead of focusing on their appearance,

you would focus more on their qualifications.
